when i first started making the drum on my mpc it sounded like a battle of drums i then added some stabs from the machines, trying to make it sound like the oldschool chicago tracks. this track is all about editing, drum programming and of course the inimitable tap repeat touch that only the mpc can generate. the end result is ninted house, a pure floor killer for all you real house heads. the clash is not a reference to the band but i felt the track goes well with ninted house it has the same mpc groove. stabs and hip hop sampled voices that remind us of those kind of tracks, where editing and sound mixing are more important than the musical elements. its that breadth in house music that i love. enjoy those two floor killers and dance ur ass off! franck roger

new bomb from west london don phil asher..... phash continues his raw fusion escapades with this recycled and well improved reggae groove made in a true restless soul spirit. together with uk singer shea soul and mc motet of the bugz crew, phil rocks the joints on this original brentford all stars sample and reboots it into the future of cyberspace. with nice punch bits like baby girl, im looking at the front door, motet slices it up and gives room for shea soul as she melts our hearts with her smooth vocal chords. and dubbed out of his mind, phil keeps going for an instrumental dub version where it (by way of the tape delay inferno) gets the true king tubby treatment.

maria fresca is a project by franco cinelli and dario zenker, which is based on a true live musical experience. since they met the first time and smoked a couple of blunts, theyve thought about working something out together. and here is the result. spaced, dubbed out kickless journeys through their musical universes, like timothy learys housekeeping woman from the french alps on rollerblades. where is the kick? the basedrum? well, if it doesnt show up, dont wait for it because there wont come any. dance music without basedrum seems useless to you? if you think so, just listen to that cut really carefully and you wont even recognize that there isnt one. the rhythm is the main theme here

bip soup is the collaboration of two moscow-based electronic producers: andrey zots and petr serkin (dj betatester). the main idea behind the project is the realtime techno improvisation. in studio petr and andrey produce half-finished tracks, which can be controlled in realtime on gigs. extensive usage of nord modular g2 synthesizers helps them in programming unique modular constructions. so the answer on the question what and where appears in a matter of seconds, before the realization of musical or sound ideas begins. therefore each new live gig is a unique performance. different music predilections of duo members allow to vary musical program, which helps not to stay in limits of one music style
